Lewisham YBC
Lewisham YBC meet every Saturday morning at Lewisham Lanes between 10am and 1pm. Our aim is to provide a social, fun and competitive coaching environment for all youths aged 5 to 22 years old and welcome new bowlers of any ability to its membership.
A brief history of the club
Lewisham YBC originally dispanded in the 90's and Lewisham was without a YBC for many years. In 2015 the London YBC was established to reignite youth bowling and many successes were had at the NAYBC nationals and other nationwide tournaments.
After a refurbishment of Lewisham Lanes in 2020/21, the club made the decision to adopt our home centres name of Lewisham.
We are looking forward to future years and bringing the successes back to Lewisham that were prominant during the 80s and 90s.
Our club has two BTBA foundation coaches. We have many years of experience and have coached the YBC membership since 2015.
All our staff and coaches are DBS verified by the BTBA and hold the relevent licencing to lead the club.
Friendships are forged and last for a life time!
Our bowlers don't just bowl together, but have fun while doing so. We encourge fair play and sportmanship across the club and when travelling to tournaments.
Neil has been the head coach at the YBC since 2015. He has led the club to a number of tournament wins including becoming the 2018 NAYBC nationals champions for under 10 year olds.
Neil Has held a BTBA coaching licence since 2015 and is part of the London Adult mens ICC team
Sam joined the club as a foundation coach in 2018. The support Sam provides to the club has been instrumental in our continued success.
